Vetted means checked. Here is the checklist.
Every contractor in the network passes these six checks before a homeowner ever hears their name, and stays accountable after.
Licensed where the state requires it
We check the license number against the state board and confirm it is current.
Insured, and we see the certificate
General liability and workers compensation. A pro without both is not in the network.
Real reviews, read by a person
Recent reviews across Google and other platforms, looking for patterns in communication, cleanup and follow-through.
Their own crews
We favor companies that run full-time crews over those that broker every job to random subcontractors.
A written workmanship warranty
We confirm the warranty exists and what it covers before the pro joins.
Ongoing accountability
Homeowner feedback after every match. Pros that stop answering or stop showing up are paused.
Why this matters
Home services is one of the most complained-about categories in consumer protection, and most of the damage comes from the same three things: unlicensed work, no insurance when something goes wrong, and no written warranty when it does. Our checks are built around those three.
How a pro joins
Contractors apply at go.roofignite.com/network, upload license and insurance, sign a lead agreement that binds them to your consent, and are reviewed by a person. Approved pros are matched to homeowners by ZIP; we do not publish a public list of partners.
Common questions
Do you check licenses yourselves?
Yes. Where a state requires a contractor license for the trade, we look the number up on the state board and confirm it is active before the pro joins.
What insurance do you require?
General liability and workers compensation, with the certificate on file. A pro that cannot show both is not in the network.
Can a pro pay to get in?
No. Pros pay per introduction only after they pass the checks. Paying does not skip a check and does not change their ranking.
What gets a pro removed?
Lapsed license or insurance, repeated homeowner complaints, not answering matched requests, or any pressure-sales behavior reported to us.
